CV cancelation?

Post by ColorForm2113 » Tue Oct 07, 2008 1:47 am

Why can i plug as many LFOs as i want into one pedal but i cant have the EP-2 and an LFO pluged into one pedal at the same time
Example: Ep2 into MF101 res in, LFO from MF102 into cutoff in. Ep2 setup to make the resonance squeal and the lfo gives the cutoff some vibrato.
Result: LFO flutters Cutoff but EP2 has no affect? I tried multiple setups with the EP2 and MF's 101 102 and 103 getting the same result.
Conclusion/Solution:?????
please explain, some one?

From the 102 manual:
When connecting one or more pedal control input jacks to a source of external control voltage such as an analog synth or a MIDI-to-CV converter, you should use patch cords with tip-ring-sleeve phone plugs. The ring terminal on the plug should not be connected to anything, so that the MF-102's source of +5.7 volts is not shorted out.
Are you using TRS (Tip-Ring-sleeve) cables to connect the LFO to the 101? If you use standard patch cables to do this, the expression pedal will not work at all in any cv... regardless of how many lfo's you may have running in...
Vibration emanates from all things, even nothing. Using awareness to translate vibration into "music" is something that I am whole heartedly grateful for.
