Call for Dedicated Moog Touch Pad

Post by eric coleridge » Sun May 20, 2007 4:39 pm

There were some entries earlier this year in the mooger forum about this Big Briar Touch Pad that was available for sale in the early 80s:

I just wanted to bring it up again, in hopes that Moog Music might offer such an item again. I had been looking for a awhile on the net for a source for these kind of X-Y-Z touch-pad attentuators, but haven't found much yet. I thought it might be not too difficult to build one, and put it in a wooden box--like this big briar model. But it seems the actual pad is not so commonly available.

I followed the link above and the first thing that loaded was Scarlett Johansson's chest with an arrow over it.

Great touchpad, I thought.

Maybe the next Moogerfooger? :)

Here's the ad for the Big Briar touch pad (1983):

Yes. We need those. A Kaoss pad for analog purists. Damn, I wish I wasn't 8 in 1983.
