awesome!
April Fool's! I'm pretty sure!
The picture of the moogerfooger doesn't look real Someone photoshopped the whole thing off of an old fooger. Also... "Ships on April 1st".... definitely an April fool's joke.
what kind of POS sounds can you get out of that anyways

An amusing April Fools joke, but kind of a shame that the same kind of creative effort can't be applied to developing new and interesting content for MoogSpace...

What amuses me most of all is how these April Fool jokes echo actual techniques used in avant garde music from a few decades ago.
Last year's brilliant silent MF had John Cage associations all over it. This one recalls the way people used to use radio broadcasts as material - Stockhausen did it, of course, and I can remember people doing this as recently as the 80s. In fact the last example I can remember was an avant garde group who'd been playing for about two hours with radio sounds mixed in, when the radio announcer said "And now - music." Maybe that incident is what killed off the idea.

I liked last year's 4'33" joke best!

This concept/technique was used, perhaps most-famously, by Cage himself in his piece called Variations IV.Sweep wrote:Last year's brilliant silent MF had John Cage associations all over it. So, it's also another Cage allusion, I'd say.
More evidence of April Fools I guess... unfortunately...I'd think this would be a pretty novel idea for a new processor...although anyone with a radio could do the same thing.

i know you probably aren't serious, but i don't think what an unpaid intern could do in one afternoon with photoshop is really going to keep anyone at moog from getting real work done. having an april fools moogerfooger every year is something that doesn't cost much, but probably makes moog music a slightly more fun and creative place to work. i enjoy these yearly expressions of creativity and am happy to see this tradition continue. i think it would have been more fun if it hadn't been leaked early this year. i only wish they had a pre-order link for this one.DeFrag wrote:Need I second this motion?Modularfan wrote:http://www.moogmusic.com/detail.php?mai ... t_id=21066
