freq box release date?

Post by redeyeflight » Thu Mar 01, 2007 5:31 pm

does anyone know the actual release date of the freq box. I emailed nova musik and the answer originally was "febuary" and now it's "march." but no actual date...is moog even finished making these yet?

A Moog representative informed me they should be available sometime in April.

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Moog factory and play with a Freq Box prototype. First off, the Moog Factory is a playground for folks like us - shelf upon shelf of circuitboards, theremins, LP's, foogers and the custom finish Voyagers... SWEET!
The Freq Box is incredible to say the least. I was using a theremin and expression pedal and things got crazy quick. It sounds really fat and full with tone for days.
There's nothing else like it.

"When the hell are these things actually gonna be manufactured?" Good question. But I'd say end of May in all honesty.

Analog Haven updated their site on 3/2 and are saying they should have stock within the next 60 days.

That would be May 2.

Maybe they did want me to stop bugging them - I had called them on a blurb on their site that claimed Moog had told them a shipment had left the warehouse. I called Moog - they had not even begun to build the units. [/quote]

I ordered mine direct from Moog, I figured it was worth the price difference if I did not have to deal with the Sweetwater/AMS/MusiciansFriend hassle/delay, cut out the middleman. I have nothing but good things so say about everyone I've talked to at Moog, they can have my extra $30.
