Preset Sounds

Post by moogme » Sun Aug 06, 2006 12:26 am

It would be great to have a list of the preset sounds...has anyone made one yet?

Question - how would that be helpful or useful?

well instead of remembering all 99 presets or flipping through each one to find that cool sound you played with the day before....you could simply refer to the list

every component I have.....drum machines ...other synths ...even my guitar amplifier all come with a list of the presets ...its fairly standard

i have a microkorg as well and that actually came with a seperate pullout for the presets (they call it voice name list) ...which comes in handy

preset list?

Post by nigeynige » Mon Aug 07, 2006 7:02 am

I know there isn't a preset list in the adobe download of the manual.
Not sure about the proper paperback manual as mine is half way across the atlantic.
I managed to program 100 new presets into a beta model of the LP. It's a great machine and I'm sure it'll be hours of fun and making music for its users.

I see on here too that peple are mentioning all sorts of faults. To be honest, the beta model was ace. It wasn't noisy at all and certainly was perfectly in tune. Sometimes, tuning can be down to bad couriers(yep sounds daft, but trust me....the way they move these items around).
Don;t forget, the tuning on analog instruments are down to fine adjustments on trimpots. My Voyager was perfectly in tune when I picked it up from Asheville last year, then i brought it home to the Uk on 2 seperate flights. the First from Asheville to Charlotte meant it had to travel in the hold. The steward wouldn't allow it on the plane. I watched it being taken out of the hold for me to collect at the steps by a worker who leaned a pram and a mini suitcase on it.
My look when i approached him was that similar to Hulk Hogan when commencing battle with the undertaker....
He got the message.
But upon getting it home......It was out of tune slightly.
Next time.....I'm gonna swim the atlantic with it on my back.......
at least that way, I know that I only have to deal with the water :)

That's exactly what I was wondering. And 94. I'm guessing 94 is either terribly disappointing or wall-shakingly wicked.
What does this button do?

LP Stage II, Dead Prodigy, Juno 60, MF-101 & 102, CP-251, guitars, bass, banjo, and the almighty glockenspiel/melodica combo

Isn't it amazing how Moog got those preset names to fit onto the LP's 13-character display!

Yeah, it takes a while for some of the patch names to scroll by.

If I get a phatty and those AREN'T the patch names, I'm sending it back. Why would I want an instrument with no catty patch names?

I was chuckling at the fact that someone went to all that time to write out 100 patch names that were non existent.
The extremes people will go to! fantastic I say....Let's have more presets nonsense.
I got my LP yesterday :) and I was amazed to see it sitting amongst my gear.It looks at home.
Some of the patches I submitted made it. Not that they are great, but I suppose they show off some of the LP's versatility.
