351 or 251

Post by gd » Sat Jun 10, 2006 5:21 pm

Not sure which to add as I want to be able to not only keep my Source added to the AE (5 osc) but also add a new Radias into the mix as well. I'm using cv gate now with the Source but want to chain a few synths together. It might be fun to use the AE and add another 4 or 5 osc into the mix.

As a Voyager owner the 351 is a must IMO.

The 251 is the extra cherry on top (my next purchase)!

While the 251 has features the 351 doesn't have (e.g. lag processing, mixer) the 351 allows you to contol CV's using the Voyager's front panel controls including the touch surface.

Choose Wisely and enjoy! :)

Also, let us know what you think of the Radias in your synth rig.

picked up the Radias rack a couple nights ago - at first I thought ok it's nice, not the same feeling of when my Voyager arrived but once I started plaiyng around with it a bit more I think it is going to be an excellent addition to the Moogs. It has some great sounds in there and the Vocoder is actually intelligable. I'll crack open the manual and get deeper into tweaking this thing as the weekend goes on but for now I am very happy with it. I do think that it should come with a 61 keybd vs the 49 - I'll wait on the bd for awhile as I wasn't thrilled with its feel.
