Help with Subsequent 25 Pitch CV Input

Hi everyone,

New here, wanted to ask a question about sequencing on my subsequent 25 via control voltage. I’m using the Doepfer dark time to send keyboard gate and pitch cv to my subsequent 25.

The keyboard gate works, but the pitch cv input is unresponsive. I double checked that the dark time cv out was working: it works on just about everything else I’ve plugged it into - other oscillators, and the volume and filter inputs on the subsequent 25.

I’ve also tried using other pitch sequencers into the subsequent 25, but none of them had any effect on the pitch of the notes of the subsequent 25.

Is my subsequent 25 pitch cv input broken? Or is there something I’m missing here.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I don't have any Subsequent 25 but I've done that with a Little Phatty and I'm quite sure it works the same.
I understand you get the sequence at a constant pitch, don't you?
If so, I'm afraid this is a CV input failure indeed.

However, if you are not getting any sound at all, the last thing I would check is whether the played pitch is not off range: press a key while the sequencer is transmitting CV in order to reset the pitch reference.

Thanks! I am getting sound, and I’ve tried different starting pitch references, so the cv pitch I’m receiving should be in range. In general, the control voltage I am sending is between 0 and +5 volts.

Alas, it seems like the pitch Cv input is broken. Thanks again for your response!
