Wooden stand or legs

Post by cooljules1 » Fri Apr 26, 2024 12:46 am

Hello friends,

I love my Moog one, but i really dislike the look of a metal stand for it.

I'd love to have a carpenter make some nice wooden legs for it, to achieve a Rhodes look, where the stand seem integrated for the instrument.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone know if it's possible to use the screw holes on the bottom to mount legs?

Thanks!

I wouldn’t do this - I wouldn’t attach directly/permanently to the One.

Instead, a great carpenter should be able to match the wood on the One and make a great looking stand that the One could firmly sit on, and look intentional. It could be made so that the One nestles into the stand, hiding the rubber feet from view, with perhaps a 1/4” overlap all the way around of matching wood.

This way you’re not modifying the One directly, and still have the option to easily move it if need be.

This forum won’t allow photos, tried to upload a couple. Just Google: Wooden keyboard stands

There’s a lot that would not work, but one looked like the legs on a B-3, nicely lathed etc.
