Two Expressions Pedals on a Matriarch?

Is there a way to connect two expression pedals with a Matriarch. I have the one set up through the back jack as explained in the manual. However, I'd like a second one. I was trying to add a 1/4" to 1/8" jack to the other expression pedal and then run it through one of the attenuators to connect to another jack but it wasn't working. Is there another way?
