Battery Powered Mavis?
I recently got a Mavis and one of the fun things about it that with the lid it is very travel friendly - about the size of a book. I saw its power is +12 Volts DC, 1.2 Amperes. I was wondering if I wired up a 8 AA batteries in series I could just make a portable battery pack for the Mavis? Would that give it the power it needs without messing up the instrument or its sound?

Maybe you can use a solution like the Koma Strom Mobile instead of batteries

Interesting, that's cool. I didn't realize something like that existed.
I'd still be curious though if a DYI solution I make on my own for under $20 would still work if done well.

Re: Battery Powered Mavis?
I just got myself a Mavis and bought a USB-C PD to 5.5mm jack, 12v 5a power cord. from Adafruit. It works well to make the Mavis portable when powered by a USB-C PD "portable charger" with minimum 30W. I posted that specific link instead of others because there are a lot of junk USB-C cords out there for cheap that don't comply to the USB-C PD standards.
