Hi,
I'd like to upgrade my iPad2 (iOS7.x) to iOS9 for the latest animoog update but I'm afraid it will become too slow.
I've just read a message on the synthopia.com site, stated by a Moog employee:
"That being said, if you have no specific reason to remain on 8.2, we strongly advise you to upgrade to iOS 9 for audio use. There have been changes on the hood that make a significant impact on the performance of your device compared to iOS 8."
and someone else:
"Many devs including the Audiobus team say to update to 9.x (unless you have iOS 7.x)
Unfortunately I think the end of the road is near for the 32 bit devices but iOS 9 is far superior to 8."
So is it still adviced to stay on 7 or upgrade to iOS.
cheers!

Re: ipad 2 best advice on iOS version
I've been keeping my iPad 2 up to date, and without a doubt it takes some hits running the latest iOS updates.
Slower load times, slower internet browsing seem to be the most noticeable changes.
As long as you're using a single synth at a time, you're probably fine running the latest updates.
However, if you start running multiple audio apps and linking audio chains, you "could" run into problems ~
But that would be as much a limitation of the hardware as the side effects of running the latest iOS.
Just my 10 cents worth...

Re: ipad 2 best advice on iOS version
iPad 2 is well known to run best on iOS 7. I'm on iOS 9 and wish I could go back The user interface is extremely slow compared to before. Tapping, typing, swiping, all of it
My advice: don't update to iOS 9!!

Re: ipad 2 best advice on iOS version
For iPad 2, it is 9.3.3.
It does not run iOS 10!

I also updated my iPad2 (iOS7.x) to iOS9 for the latest animoog update and its working fine for me till now.
Re: ipad 2 best advice on iOS version
I have an iPad2 running iOS 9.3.5 (cannot update to more recent).
If I go to the app Store and try to istall Animoog z it says it is not compatible with my iPad.
DO you know how I can find Animoog for iPad2. Maybe an older Animoog version?
