Hi, I recently acquired a new Subsequent 37 but after having unboxed the machine I doubt it is new.
I found knobs in random position, program 02 was selected on first power on, the local documentation was out of the plastic bag and the screen is protected by a thick transparent handcut gum instead of the usual film.
Is that a normal condition for a brand new product?

I can answer the last part as that is exactly the same screen protector that was on my Subsequent 37 CV.
It peeled cleanly and the screen was perfect.

Thanks Dan. I also saw a HD unboxing video and the machine was indeed in a similar state.
Doesn’t look like Moog is paying much attention on packaging but the good news is that the subsequent is a pretty good and very capable machine.

I’m pretty sure they test them, then box them.
