Howdy ALL....
I'm an analog hardware guy, I have all that figured out for the most part.
What I have, is a Korg Microkey Air 25 which is connected to my computer via USB MIDI.
I have the Minitaur also connected to my computer with USB, and I have the Minitaur editor installed.
Checks:
The Minitaur Editor is conversing well via MIDI with Minitaur
The Korg Keyboard is recognized by the Korg Kontrol Software (which allows you to change midi implementation but nothing else)
So, I figure that they are both talking to the computer.
HOW do I get them to talk to each other and exchange MIDI information?
What I'm trying to do is this:
Control the Minitaur with this mini midi keyboard
AND
Eventually, use a Windows tablet computer to serve as a realtime preset controller / organizer / provide real time access to hidden settings.
I am NOT currently using the tablet, I wanted to see it work first, then I'll introduce the tablet.
What am I missing here?
Thanks
CM

Hey All,
After calling a bunch of musician friends, finally got this figured out.
If you are not using a DAW or other software to route your MIDI signals, you need a utility to do it.
I'm using MIDI-OX - simply choose your keyboard as MIDI IN and route it to your Minitaur as MIDI OUT.
Done.
You do have to run MIDI OX whenever you want to play this way with USB MIDI to the MINITAUR.
I have other MIDI controllers that use a 5 pin, but I got this one special to make the mini synth setup.

that is interesting, thx for posting the followup!
I prefer to just use regular MIDI because I don't trust USB MIDI....but I'm sure I may eventually need your advice

retrokits rk004 acts as a usb to midi converter, no software required I don't think. it's just plug and play
