Grandmother arp - hold issue

Post by MescalHeart » Thu Mar 14, 2019 3:18 pm

Suddenly my Grandmother's Arp Hold function only remembers the last note played, not the entire sequence of notes I held. So I play with the ARP on, hold 3 notes for instance, I hear the 3 note arp sequence, press HOLD and release the keys at the same time, only one note playing. When I change Octaves then also nothing happens. It feels like it's sort of stuck. Does anyone have an idea about what is going on? Cheers

Got in touch with Moog support, and for now, this issue can be resolved by choosing to either receive or send midi in Ableton, setting up both at the same time cause this issue with the HOLD function. It's a shame, but at least a workaround for now. Support told me a firmware update is being worked on to alleviate the issue.

Just got a Grandmother, this was helpful thanks.

I just leave the Moog input switched off in Ableton now unless i am recording into the DAW with the Moog keyboard and the Arp Play and Hold buttons work normally.
