Sub Phatty mod source knob stopped working

Post by Superquadra » Fri Oct 19, 2018 10:44 pm

Hi there,

I'm experiencing an issue with the modulation section of my Sub Phatty. I'm unable to change the LFO wave form via the source knob any more. Using the software editor it works however. So I guess I'm dealing with a hardware problem?

Thanks a lot!
Philip

Hi Philip, welcome to the forum :)

My mate's Sub does the same, except it's one of the oscillators' octave switch.
To be sure it's hardware related (which I'm quite certain), try changing the parameter through MIDI.

yes, it works if I change it via the editor software... Hopefully it's something easy (inexpensive) to fix. Did your mate find a solution?

He's not looked for one actually. I'm quite confident having the elector replaced is quite cheap.

I have similar problems, have emailed Moog, once in early Jan, and again late Jan. Yesterday I called them and left a message.
Is there any secret to getting a reply from them? I know they are known for their good customer support, so am scratching my head over this...

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Where are you located? Here in the UK there's a company you can contact for repair.
Windows 7 x64 / Sub Phatty
