Theremini Firmware

I still haven't been able to determine whether or not I should upgrade the firmware on my new Theremini. I saw one post that said I could find out what version of my firmware is which said that I would see it by pressing the setup button right after I turn it on. However so far that has not worked for me. Can anyone help?
