Mini D Pitch Bend Issue

Post by minimoog72 » Sat Oct 28, 2017 6:19 am

Hi guys,
I just bought a Mini D and love it. However, I have found that if I rest my thumb on the pitch bend centre and apply the slightest pressure downwards (or even laterally) it drops in pitch slightly. In other words, all I need to do to slightly drop the pitch is to place pressure on the pitch bend wheel or push it sidewards. Is this normal? Don't get me wrong, it is not a huge issue at all, but after spending 4k I want to ensure she is working as she should.
Cheers team.

that´s quite the way it works and is normal . anyway this drove me crazy and i now have installed the muse by virtual music . this interfaces has solved the issue with the pitchwheel and gives me more control functions . not a cheap solution though but great .

Have you tried the pitch bend wheel calibration?

How to enter the Pitchwheel-Calibration Mode;
Summarized by Alexander Guelfenburg / Virtual Music e.U. / http://www.virtual-music.at
1) Enter Pitchwheel Calibration Mode:
Send the file "Enter_Pitchwheel_Calibration" to the MINI
OR
Press Bb0, B0, C1, #D1 and power on

2) Low Calibration:
Press C1
Move Pitch Wheel to the lowest position (in your direction)
Press C4

3) Centre Calibtation:
Press #D1
Move Pitch Wheel to the centre position
Press C4

4) High Calibtation:
Press F1
Move Pitch Wheel to the highest position (away from you)
Press C4

5) Save settings and exit:

Press C4 (to save it)
Press F0 to exit the mode
The Enter_Pitchwheel_Calibration SysEx contains these hex values:

Code: Select all

F0 04 15 7F 18 00 00 00 F7
But using the Minimoog's keyboard might be easier anyway.

Can you give me a link to the muse page where I can purchase one of these?
