Agreed about the value falling. That's why I did the math in my head yesterday and made the decision. My guess is the value of the Sub37 is going to start dropping by the Week. Move fast and you'll be fine. Pine it over for a month or two, and forget it.Rufus the Dog wrote:I like your thinking but I would anticipate that the resale value of the Sub 37 might be about to fall, due to the arrival of the Subsequent plus there is another fundamental problem for me...

The only synth I have ever sold was the MS20 re-issue with the slim keys otherwise.... I still have them all ....

I have just done a quick comparison and I think the Voyager key bed is actually a heavier action than the Subsequent 37stiiiiiiive wrote:Rufus, have you taken the opportunity to compare with the Voyager?
I don't know what Dave Smith uses for keys but my Pro 2 feels very similar in action to the Subsequent 37

Thanks a lot, mate
I love the Voyager action and wish my LP had the same.

the Dave smith pro2 got the MidiTech keybed. this Keybed feels like the fatar tp9 or tp8 (voyager,0b6,...) but the keys have sharper edges. a lot of players didn't like that. the fatar keys are rounded.
i hope the new subsequent keybed is a fatar because the old Huaxin sub 37 keybed is not so funny in such a great Instrument.

I took a quick photo of my Subsequent 37 this morning, before heading to work, and checked the Fatar website and screen grabbed a portion of the standard TP9 key bed (the TP8 is similar).... the 'overhang' of the Sub doesn't tie in with the more 'waterfall' style of the standard Fatar keys but it does look more like the TP/9S variant.

Having posted all that ... the FATAR website is a rabbit hole of umpteen model variations..... I await a more authoritative opinion

I would also love an option to upgrade the keybed in my Sub37! Its the only thing that is stopping me from using it more. I never really got used to the current keybed....
Please Moog!
