Minitaur CC not working

Post by santokie » Sat Aug 19, 2017 11:59 pm

I send midi CC messages from a MIDI controller over 5-pin MIDI and the CC messages are not working. I like to ise CC#81 and 82 to reset the oscillator phase and the LFO cycle each time a key is pressed. They are no longer working... I tried turning off CC#87 and that didn't fix it. Any ideas? Anyone else experience this?

How did you test the oscillator note sync (actually phase reset)? This is just hear under special settings like low notes and very fast envelope attacks.

CC #82 does work fine here if:
MIDI Sync (CC #86) is not active and if MIDI CC # 82 is set to value 65.
It does not work if you use a higher or lower value.
According to the documentation it should work with any MIDI CC #82 value above 64.
So this is the bug.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

I tested it with a low note pressed consecutively and held for a second or two each time. The phase doesn't reset and it can be heard in how punchy each note is.As the cycle keeps moving without reseting, the same note sounds out of phase.

Thanks for figuring this out, I will test this later and report back. Hopefully it works for CC #81 as well...
