Electric shock?

Post by kaiweb » Tue Jun 13, 2017 1:42 am

Hi, I'm going to make a modification to the main circuit board. Just wondering if I need to be concerned about electric shock from any capacitors or anything.

Thanks!

hi kaiweb,
what theremin are you modifing? and what are you modifing? i soldered myself some stuff on the etherwave plus, without any problems. like suggested in the hotrod-manual. and adding the espe-module was a no brainer. just unplug the unit and turning it then on should discharge the big capacitors. and discharge yourself to prevent esd on the delicate parts like chips and such.

Thanks so much. Indeed I was planning on installing the espe01 module on my Etherwave Plus, and I have heard that sometimes the large capacitors can retain a charge for a while. I appreciate the tips, and I was able to successfully install the module.
