How, exactly, do I make my Slim Phatty receive a sysex message from my laptop?
In the sysex menu on the SP (a menu I reach by hitting the master button) there are only options of sending; 2send bulk dump, send cur preset, send all presets".
How do I get it to "listen" for the sysex message from my laptop?
I am trying to install an update, since the synth will not for its bare life release the note as i let go of a key. It just hangs..

I now managed to reinstall the OS
(it turned out I had gotten the OS for the little phatty, not the SP. I'm an idiot)
but the problem didn't go away!
Even when I trigger the note directly from the master menu function on the SP itself, it still won't let go of the tone.
Pluss the sound goes away, then comes fading in slowly as i punch the note repeatedly.
Pluss it doesn't play all the notes I hit. more like every second or so if I hold down more than one at a time.
Does anyone have any idea what may cause this?
