Hello,
Is there any chance to sync S&H of CP-251 by clock of EHX Clockworks or sync out of Korg SQ-1?
I tried IN and TRIG inputs of 251 in S&H area, but still no chance.

Re: CP-251 sync
I don't have the EHX but I do have the CP-251.
Have you tried sending the trigger signal to an attenuator before the Trig?

Yes, and checked sygnal by sending it to TAP/STEP input of MF-105M. And it works.bichuelo wrote:Have you tried sending the trigger signal to an attenuator before the Trig?

Re: CP-251 sync
Is the normalised connection of the CP-251 squarewave working? I.e. do you get a "normal" S&H whose rate changes with the LFO freq?
How did you set the Clockworks level? Hopefully you followed the instructions starting from 0V and just going as high as was needed. It's unlikely, but the input may have been damaged with high voltages. The internal test will ensure that it's still ticking.
If that's okay, patch the CP-251 squarewave to the S&H input manually. If it works it could be either a cable problem or that the Clockworks sends pulses that are too thin or to low in voltage. If it doesn't, maybe the jack has some oxidation preventing good contact.

Yes, squarewave works fine.latigid on wrote:Is the normalised connection of the CP-251 squarewave working? I.e. do you get a "normal" S&H whose rate changes with the LFO freq?
Yes, EHX Clockworks and Korg SQ-1 sent pulses. But there's TRIG input in CP-251. Trigger = pulse, or not?latgid on wrote:If that's okay, patch the CP-251 squarewave to the S&H input manually. Re: CP-251 sync
Often a pulse is used, the idea being that the rising (or in some cases falling) edge of the transition triggers the input. As opposed to a gate where the "on" or "high" time represents a key being held, an envelope sustaining etc.
So, does the patched squarewave work?
Something to try is running the clock output through the lag processor and then into the trig input of the S&H. You can slow down the transition with the rise and fall controls like this.

Oh, thanks!latigid on wrote: Something to try is running the clock output through the lag processor and then into the trig input of the S&H. You can slow down the transition with the rise and fall controls like this.
It synced through the LAG

Glad it worked out.
