Sub 37 tuning problems

Post by max2011 » Tue Jun 07, 2016 4:44 am

Hi guys, I just recently bought a moog sub 37 and I'm having some trouble getting the damn thing to be in tune!
I've done the note calibration 3 times after the sub 37 being on for a long time to warm up and tried to use the fine tune knob to correct it but nothing is working.
I've compared the tuning through tuners and other keyboards and it seems like the G & C are the only two notes that are in tune and the rest are not even close to what they are supposed to be.
How do I fix this? Is it something to do with power? A button/knob I've somehow not noticed yet?
This is getting really frustrating because I want to use it for some tracks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Maybe double-check that the Equal Tempered scale is selected in the Tuning Scale menu? It's the first thing in the Global edit menu.

I got my new Sub 37 six weeks ago and this was the first thing I had to do. I panicked for 30 seconds when I first turned it on, thinking that it was DOA. Fortunately I had run into a similar issue with my Novation Circuit a few months earlier, so I knew what to look for. Strange that it would ship not set on the default, but I figured it was an isolated case. Almost certainly the issue here as well.

Same here, got my Sub 37 today, Date of Manufacture is May 2016. Firmware was already v1.2.0 out of the box and the scale was set to #15: "Pelog". This did freak me out i have to admit but luckily i remebered seeing this video: "Phatty Tuner Alternate Scales Editor" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FMm6PMPHoo and figured the Sub 37 might have different scale options built in natively.
