Sub37: Sequence 1 Osc and play other Osc live

Post by Sofine » Tue Mar 15, 2016 6:32 pm

Hi.

I have a sub37 on the way and was wondering if you can sequence just 1 of the oscs and play over it with the 2nd Osc?

Cheers!

From the Sub 37 User Manual, Step Sequencer Basics page, nearly at the bottom:
During playback, if you hold down two notes, all of the recorded duo notes will play back normally. Any single recorded notes, however, will follow your two keys as dictated by KB Ctrl settings. This allow you to play real-time pitches along with a step sequencer any time there is only one note recorded in a step.
Maybe that gets you close enough?

Thanks guys.

Mike, thanks for that suggestion. My Sub37 is due to arrive next week, so I haven't reached that far into the manual yet :D

I also emailed Moog support and it's not likely to happen, but support said they would ask for it, as they would also like that feature. I recommended that they sneak some tequila into Amos' breakfast for the foreseeable future in a futile effort to make it happen :)

Ah, but the pdf for the manual is right here on the web site. No reason not to have it already.

A long time ago I bought a Kurzweil K2000 manual. Read it for several years before I actually got the K2000. It's a little thicker manual than the Sub37 manual... :D
(man, we're working the smileys today!)
