sub 37 on beta firmware

Post by pb21 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 12:08 pm

Ive powered up my sub37 without the editor but the keyboard is only sounding notes every 3 semitones on some patches and no notes on others, has anyone else experienced this? Ive asked to be put on the beta forum but will have to wait for that to happen first.

unless its something ive done and just am not seeing it.

Did you check if you are in Polychain mode ? Sounds like it is set to be 1 of 3 perhaps, just guessing. Midi Menu 3.X .....Pgs. 32-33 of the manual. Poly Number 0 Poly Max 0 may fix it.

and you my friend are a star. I must admit i didnt look at the manual as I didnt know what to look for. Just so that musically as I am a hobbyist only why might you want that function? maybe someone could give me a typical use of that feature.

anyway thx again for pointing me in the right direction.

You could make a polysynth of monosynths , so you could have up to 16 Moogs and hold down 16 notes simultaneously. I have done it with a Minimoog, Sub37 and Slim Phatty for 3 note chords so they do not have to be an identical system. Glad I could help! You are going to have an amazing time, but the Moog bug will bite you hard and you are only BEGINNING to give Moog your money! ;-)

Yes the Sub is in my mind the best value per pound so they will have to pull another rabbit out of the hat to get more of my money but itll be interesting how they develop their products.

There is a beta program. No final release yet, but it looks like it's really close now.
