MuRF as an analog sequencer?

Post by basssfx » Fri Jan 13, 2006 7:02 pm

Hey there folks

Now, I don't own a MuRF (got 101, 102, 103, 104SD) but was thinking about sequencers. Do you reckon that instead of using the sliders to control the filter's level, they could send an 8-stepped sequence to other CV gear?

I would suppose some mod.s would have to be done.

Just a thought.

No each fader is for a filter frequency and not CV control. I was hoping for the same thing when the MuRF was announced.

But surely each slider sends a certain CV to the filter VCA? I'm not saying that it could be done without mods, but if you could somehow patch each slider's CV to a single jack, you would have an 8-step sequencer.

absolutely. Seems like it'd actually be a pretty easy mod too, provided one was handy enough with the tools of the trade.

if you're gutsy, just take the thing apart and run some leads from the slider to a cv input. If something happens, let us know!

Or you could just buy a sequencer and leave your beautiful MuRF undestroyed :)
