Sub 37 Mod Wheel Problem

Post by dfresh25 » Wed May 13, 2015 1:57 am

Hi all,

Recently just picked up a Sub 37 and a few days into using it my mod wheel has become faulty. Not in a physical sense, I think in needs recalibration. When you trigger the mod wheel and then return it to '0' position it still will be doing vibrato or whatever is assigned to it.

I used MIDI-OX and found that when the wheel is all the way returned to normal it registers a '41'. So it is not returning to '0' like it's supposed to.

I reached out to Andy Hughes but he has not got back to me. Maybe you guys can help. Thanks.

I've got the same problem. Mine stops going down at 89! I just don't have the loot to ship it out, even though it's under warranty, which basically renders it unusable for anything other than sending MIDI data to.

Hey guys,

Andy from Moog Tech Support here!

That sounds like a calibration issue, and pretty easy to correct. I can provide you with .syx files and instructions for recalibrating the potentiometers.

Please contact me directly at [email protected] or by phone (828)-251-0090 xt. 221, 217, or 204

Thanks,

Please Help, I think I need these recalibrating to.
The Last days, My mod-wheel acts strange. I have a constant Modulation, so I look to the midi monitor of my interface and see, when I put the wheel down It send "01 12" or "01 13" and chance nervous. My other synth mod wheels go down to "01 00".

But maybe it`s a hardware problem, because if I put the sub 37 wheel up it stop counting at "01 7F" but I have a half inch to the endpoint without a reaction. is it possible that the wheel encoder is slips?

sorry for my bad English.

now I have looked at the modwheel encoder, all the metal stop bars ar steady. but the encoder self is a little slacky. and I think all of the wheel pressure goes directly to the encoder.
first I must dry the calibration, if it didn´t work I need a new wheel encoder.

Hi Rene,

I don't want to send the files to you without permission.
But if you write a mail to Stefan Hund of emc, I'm sure he will help you quickly, it's not the first time.
