storing moog synth on a PA speaker

Post by franklinstower » Sun Sep 20, 2015 7:55 pm

Is there any harm in keeping my Moog sub 37 on PA speaker when I'm not using it-- any problem with the magnets in the speakers damaging the MOOG or vice versa?

"Probably" not but . . you mean on a PA cabinet, right? (not sitting right on top of an exposed large speaker magnet? )

I doubt weak magnetic fields would affect anything in a Moog, as far as I know. I'd be more concerned about constant vibration if the PA is run loud and the cabinet is resonant.

Yea its just stored on there when I'm not using it (limited space right in my living room) It's on my lap when I play it. If I can leave it on the PA cabinet it will take up way less room and make my wife a lot happier.
