Re: Sub 37 - Non-Tribute Edition?
I was at Knobcon this past weekend, and upstairs at this little Moog station, one of the employees
said something you might find interesting.
I was talking to him about the Sub 37, and how I had been thinking about getting one, and he said,
"If you are thinking about getting one, you should probably do it soon, because...
this is the limited Tribute edition.... with the woodsides and..."
Then he kind of trailed off, and almost seemed like he thought he shouldn't have said that.
So, take that with a grain of salt, but he seemed to be implying the Tribute edition would be ending soon.

Check this out gang, was browsing local shop's website when I came upon this strange pic...:

Looks like they changed the buttons to Sub Phatty style and there's no screen?

That's an old photoshopped picture from the run-up to the actual launch:
https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... ?p=1420119
(the muffwiggler pics show a 16th jan 2014 creation date and photoshop as the software in the exif info)
http://mutable-instruments.net/forum/di ... g-sub37/p1
http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2014/ ... photoshop/
I guess American Music just did a google search to find an image and ended up with a speculation photoshop image and didn't realise!

Beat me too it, Paul .. I was about to say the same..
What normally happens with a non-signature version? Do they just remove the wooden end-cheeks?

i would be REALLY surprised if they removed the screen for the non-tribute. thats a big dis-advantage. and a big waste of a lot of programming they did to run the screen and makes it less intuitive, patch naming will be gone etc. i doubt this very much.
i would say it will just be silver with black cheek-ends (instead of black with wood).
