Using External with a drum-machine

Post by DOMPEZ » Tue Jun 16, 2015 10:30 am

Hi, I have a voyager as well as a SP-404, I use a ISA ONE Preamp also in my process. I can get synth coming through an input via SPDIF in my logic project from my Focusrite ISA ONE, yet with my SP-404 connected to the ext audio in, with on/external..on, And the Mixer External on with respective volume.. but no sound?!? can anyone help clarify why this mite be happening, as I would really like to incorporate my Moog in to switch-ups in beats etc!

PEACE,
DomPez.

No takers?

DOMPEZ, thanks for all the info. Just to get the ball rolling; can you confirm that the problem seems to be with your Voyagers External Audio Input, and unrelated to your choice of preamp, DAW, Computer I/O, and PC type? That would narrow down the area of interest.

I have a couple of those ISA ONE preamps, nice clean stuff :-)
VoyagerEB, Minitaur, LittlePhattyII, 4xSlimPhatty, Sub37, MF[2x101,2x102,103,104M,105,105B,105M,2x107,108M], 3xCP251, XV351, MP201;
2xMother 32, DFAM, Subharmonicon;
System 55 and Minimoog clones with lots of mods.

Are you talking about the ENV GATE switch on the Voyager ? If so, read p. 28-29 of
the Voyager's manual, there might be answers for your situation, I'm not too much
connected to other communication protocols.

Good luck !
