Sub 37 1.1 Paper Manual

Post by KincaidDesigns » Wed May 20, 2015 8:06 am

Hi All,
Has anyone heard if and when the paper manual will be available?
There was a mention in a thread about it during discussion about the new firmware, but the accessories link does not have it available for sale... Yet...
I'm just Jonesing I guess

Maybe just download the PDF, take it to a print shop and get it printed nicely?

I placed the downloaded PDF 1.1 new Sub 37 User Manual onto a flash drive, took it to my local UPS Store and had it printed on both sides, bound nicely, for around $20. w/tax USD. Done this with other instrument manuals as well in past and makes them very utilitarian and durable. I would not expect Moog to spend the $ and time/resources to print these out and mail them or offer them for sale because a PDF is much more cost effective to update as possible additional O.S. updates are added and when that may occur, you can simply print out any addendum of changed and add to your nicely bound manual.
If you are in the USA, Staples also does this but will cost a bit more than a UPS Store. You can also do this even cheaper by printing out the PDF yourself, three-hole punch or whatever, and place in a binder. Not rocket science.

as i have a hard printed copy of v1.0 from Moog, i do wish the V1.1 had a version of the updates that was purely the updates so i could print out the extra additions only and slide the few sheets into the back of my hard manual. instead of having to print out the whole lot...

I was thinking the same thing, just the changes would be a nice thing to slip in. But I did read that a whole new manual was sent to the printers. So it's probably a waiting game for a new manual. No biggie.

Great news, I love the recycled paper they use for the cover :-).

I am very fortunate to have the new manual with 1.1 updates inclusive, I must admit its nice to have as opposed to floating sheets of the updates, the manual just oozes quality, maybe moog could sell it at a reasonable cost.
