Strange Voyager midi cc playback problem with Logic Pro X

Post by paulcolo3 » Sat Nov 01, 2014 9:36 am

Hi,

I use my Voyager with Logic Pro X, connected via a Motu midi express 128 interface. I am able to record midi cc changes whilst manually tweaking them on the Voyager and record them into Logic. Now when I playback everything is fine and I can hear my changes as I have recorded them for about the first thirty seconds or so after which the Voyager stops responding and it sounds something like a stuck midi note and I have to reset this by double clicking the no out in the transport bar. Note If I let the track continue playing this happens again shortly and the problem repeats itself at various points in the track in logic so I cannot see it isolated to a particular part of the track in logic. If I delete the midi cc recording the Voyager will playback my initial loop without any issues so it appears to be something with the recording - however I'm at a loss as to what it can be.

I've tried changing many different settings on both Logic and the Voyager but I am unable to troubleshoot this one :(

I would really appreciate any help with this as I've been struggling with this issue for a few days now and I just haven't been able to find the resolution to this issue.

Thanks,
Paul

Follow the MIDI stream via MidiOx. This will tell you what the Voyager is receiving.

Hi Stephen,
I took a look at that program and its windows only - do you know of anything similar for mac?
Thanks,
Paul
