Sub37...what type of wood?

Post by Blackout » Fri Sep 19, 2014 9:10 pm

hi, i did a search on the forum and moog site for this, anyone know what kind of wood was used on the Sub37?

Everywhere i only read that its "wood".

i like the wood grain! and i wanted to choose the same wood to put new end cheeks on my Polysix so they look spankin next to each other on the keyboard rack.

many thanks!

It's probably ash from the look of it, but someone who actually knows could chime in :)

The finish is definitely not natural though. Be careful when you're looking for a stain to match it with.

thanks Toom. yes its often all down to the stain. you can use the same color and brand stain on the same type of wood and if its from a different forest it can even look darker or lighter. getting staining right is definately an artform.
