Here's my latest little synthesizer music 'thang'. The main sequence is my big 5U modular, the string like lead melody is a Novation Ultranova keyboard, the drums are a hand played Zoom RhythmTrak 234 drum machine and the voice was synthesized with an online tool.

Just got finished adding a few new bits and pieces to this. Most noticeable difference will be the MicroBrute arpeggios.

Kenneth,

Really liked your piece! If you had to describe "Automated Groove Thing Number Two" what genre of music would you call it?

You got another 'Brute! What changed your mind about it?

After playing with the Micro in the store for a bit, I determined that its character was sufficiently different form the Mini. Its oscillator is a lot nicer sounding, less metallic all around. I have had the Micro for about six months now and, though I feel I have explored its sonic capabilities rather thoroughly, I find its base tone to be very musical and fairly ambiguous. I also like the way the filter sounds. Vastly different from the Moog filter, which is exactly what I needed. It's also incredibly small, even small enough to toss in a backpack for a quick last-minute gig. I can't gush enough about it! I actually am considering buying another MiniBrute, also. Marc's video demonstrating the duophonic capabilities of the Mini+Micro combo was simply too much.

This is really interesting! I decided I like the idea of the Minibrute more than the actual sound, but if the Micro is really that different I will give it another listen. This is one of the demos that did get my attention earlier: http://youtu.be/lyA8yXv6Gfw.

That's a nice listen. The Micro really is audibly different from the Mini, but it doesn't have to be. There is some overlap, because they were built by the same crew, but that overlap has simply made me regret selling the Mini. I think I owned it during a period of my life when I was only interested in the Moog sound, and so naturally, I was dissatisfied. Now, however, I have developed an interest in other sonic characters as well, and the Arturia sound is definitely hitting the spot.

Not exactly 'music' as such, as I hadn't actually programmed the sequencer with any useful info... but anyways, these are my latest bits of kit, controlling the Minimoog there.

Oh, but the aeroplane takes over - just thought you might like.... :)

i did a 30-minute piece of pretentious stuff this morning, recorded in one take live. i was using a fender strat, going into the moog sub phatty, through the filter, and then both through a catalinbread echorec (just bought it, if you haven't heard of it - check it out. it sounds wonderful with moog synths).

check it out and try to detach yourself from earth for a moment. cheers everyone, hope you enjoy it! :)

noise, drones, fuzz, delay, filter sweeps, feedback and low frequencies - that's love.

Here is a little improvised thing I did today. I used Ableton Live 9 for the drums, recording, and sync. An Arturia Beatstep is sequencing a Minitaur for the bass. A Little Phatty and 2 Slim Phatties are poly-chained and run through a Clusterflux and Delay for all the weird noises and whooshes. It's trippy and repetitious, but I like it and makes me dance. :D Hope you enjoy!

I made a new track also using my Voyager. It`s a Deep Tech track in 120 BPM with a nice speech vocal along beat.
