Source Question

Post by writeroxie » Wed Sep 14, 2005 10:51 am

i'm still sort of getting used to my moog source and i really like how when i roll the pitch wheel and the 2 osc's are synced it creates that frequency squeal sound.

my question is:
is there a way to get that to happen without actually moving the wheel by hand? in a sweeping-filter sort of way? am i outta my mind?

:)

Sounds as if the Source is like an ARP Odyssey with Moog Oscillators and a flat front panel. :P

Couldn't you do it with your fingers on the X/Y touch surface? I have. And, it sounds great!

another one...

Post by writeroxie » Tue Oct 04, 2005 11:12 am

I have another question about the limitations of my Moog Source.

I want to create a patch where the pitch drops or rises after a certain amount of time. I'm talking OTHER than 'gliding' to another note. And I want it to do it each time a key is pressed. Is something like this possible? If so, is there a way to set the distance it travels and rate too?

Nope,

I can't think of anyway that you can do this on a Source unless you use Filter Resonance as an oscillator. Then have it respond to the ADSR envelope on the filter.

It is a great little synth (I love mine) but it does not have that versitile of a structure to do what you are looking to do.
Thanks Bob!!

If a King is a Minimoog, and the Queen is the Source, then what is the Ace? The Voyager?? Would love to have a full house of Moogs!!!

So Derek42,

You do seem a bit confused. I believe you were thinking of Casio's.

You must remember that this forum is for Mooger's only.

Now if you don't mind i'd like to get back to some internet gamling!
