It seems like being normal nowadays that products are launched that run just half throttle. The editor V2 never worked really well especially when it came to saving patches. Do not even want to write about V1. I have a Minitaur since day one and am still waiting for an editor that can save without hassle. The new VST is now also being long awaited and announced for ages. For me Moog has lost much of its reputation by the handling of the Minitaur and its customers. I also have a Voyager with the software that can be purchased on the Moog site. That software is crap to say it short. How can a company like Moog let a software company program a VST and an editor that works like sh.t and even sell it on the own site.
For me no Moogs will be bought anymore. Was really thinking of preordering the Tribute but my experiences with this company were not good at all so I went for a Elektron Analog Keys.
Get your stuff together. Nowadays its not enough to just produce a good hardware synth, when the software part is lacking performance it pulls down the rest too.

FWIW the Sub Phatty VST was rock solid for me.

I haven't had the time to do an exhaustive shootout, as working on a project, but the new editor (b) 3.0 seems to be pretty stable to me! Thanks Amos for your continued work on this!

Hello, Amos, can I have the Minitaur Editor even beta version ?
Re: Amos, will you give us a Minitaur Editor update, please?
March 8th, 2014. This was the last Official Update we've had on the v3 Minitaur Editor on this Forum?!Amos wrote:Initial release version of the v3 editor is done. just waiting for documentation to be completed.
The Windows VST still is not working for many people; I am thinking we may need a custom driver before it will work reliably.
This is due to long-standing troubles with sysex and the default Windows USB MIDI driver.
I've had it work on my win7 64bit system, so results may vary.
Officially we're supporting the Mac release; we'll make the Windows version available for folks to use with the caution that the VST is known not to work on all systems. The Windows stand-alone editor is working fine.
I expect the manual to be finished next week... release to follow quickly thereafter.
cheers,
Amos
Ok... "expect the manual to be finished next week"... so that's the work week of March 10 - 14.
"release to follow quickly thereafter"... that should of been the work week of March 17 - 21.
It's now April 19th.... 6 Weeks since March 8th... but we all wait... and wait... and wait... then wait some more...
but we still don't have a Minitaur Editor that's actually usable... in a Professional Environment!?
Meanwhile... it's been 18 Months... since the release of the very Unpopular and Handicapped: Minitaur: REV 2 Editor/Librarian!?
