The sub phatty controls just fine from a Midi Sequencer. However, when I try to control it with CV, via pitch and gate inputs from a CV sequencer, I run into some major problems.
The phatty plays the notes, transposed off of the last key I pressed on the phattys keyboard. If i press another key, the CV sequence is transposed to that key. I can see this being a useful setting, but I need to know how to shut it off so the Phatty only plays the actual notes coming from the sequencer Can anyone help me?

Re: Controlling Sub Phatty with CV problem!
The analog Control Voltages from the keyboard and external CV
are being summed before controlling Pitch.
The trick would be to learn which key on that particular model
sends out a voltage closest to (or exactly at) zero.
Then, make sure that's the last key you pressed.
Any deep tweakers know which key that might be for a Sub Phatty?
(I'm not near my gear at the moment.)

I could figure it out by ear, but I hope it doesn't come to that. There's got to be someway to shut it off/bypass it right?

I don't think so… But I'm not near it right now.hexeract wrote:There's got to be someway to shut it off/bypass it right?
Obviously, the Local Off is worth exploring, but I suspect that the
last note you played before engaging Local OFF might linger.
So it's worth the effort to find the zero voltage key.
You'll only have to experiment once.
