New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
Hi Amos, I would like a link to pc version. Thanks.......
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
Hi Amos, I'd be very interested in testing the beta firmware on a windows 7 setup, with one LIttle Phatty and Two Slims. Please let me know if there is any way I could obtain that beta, since the dropped notes are driving me to dance as though one of my legs is shorter than the other.
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
Has anyone gotten a link?
Moog LP StageII, Moog Sub37, Moog Midi Murf, Arturia MiniBrute, DSI Prophet 08, Akai MPC1000 JJos128XL, Yamaha AN1X, Yamaha Motif Rack ES, Korg MS2000.
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
I haven't, I posted December 27th.
I assuming vacation and or NAMM prep is keeping Amos away.

Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
I got a link about a month ago, had a brief back and fourth with Amos, haven't heard anything since my last email.

bump...
maybe they don't need to fix poly mode with the upcoming poly-phatty?

Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
We would be happy to test the new firmware as well.
Experiencing a lot (!) of midi hickups / hung notes / stuck SP etc. with our setup and it is definitely the SP that causes them, making it almost impossible to use it. It is not fun to be honest.
Hope this firmware solves these problems.
Thanks, Amos!

I have the same issues and the new firmware seemed to make it even worse, I rolled back.BarkerBaumecker wrote:

Your right, it makes the SP useless in certain cases, not fun at all.

Yes, the Slim Phattys were a complete waste of money with the notes dropping out so badly. I wish I hadn't been so convinced by the Moog demonstrations online!

Maybe consider starting a new thread, post the details of your setup, and describe the issues you're having.weltonb wrote:Yes, the Slim Phattys were a complete waste of money with the notes dropping out so badly. I wish I hadn't been so convinced by the Moog demonstrations online!
There's a good chance the folks on this forum could lend a helping hand if you give them a chance...
Little Phatty Solar CV, Minitaur, Slim Phatty (x2), MF-101, MF-102, MF-103, MF-104M, MF-105M, MF-108M, CP-251 (x2), Animoog app, Filtatron app, Model D app, Model 15 app...and some 5U modular and Doepfer stuff...
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
I'll try that. Good idea!

Hi Amos, I'd like to test the OSX version please!
Re: New Little Phatty / Slim Phatty firmware to test
Hi everyone; I'm back from NAMM. Now it's time for me to catch up with the many tasks I was already working on!
(In case you are waiting for Sub Phatty Editor fixes, or Minitaur Editor v3 to be released, I am working on those things too)
...today, my primary focus is Little Phatty. I want to release firmware v3.2, and I want it to fix everyone's MIDI / Polychain problems.
Ideally I would like it to have no problems at all, but we'll see how it goes... I think for example there are still some Pot Mapping bugs in the most recent build, which I will look at next.
Anyway, in order to speed things up a bit, here are public links to the download files for the most recent LP firmware beta build.
WARNING: you can't update an LP Tribute unless it's had a hardware update already; this is old news but I thought I'd mention it to be safe. Otherwise, be careful and follow the instructions and things should go well.
edit: a couple other suggestions.
if and only if you are comfortable saving and restoring your presets via MIDI sysex...
(1) back up your presets before updating the firmware
(2) do a Factory Restore after updating the firmware, then send your saved presets back to the unit.
... if you have any funny behavior of global settings after the update, these steps should correct the trouble.

Here are firmware update instructions:

(instructions refer to the previous firmware version but the installation steps are the same)
(instructions for mac are virtually the same, just use the Mac PhattyLoader app to send the hex file)

hit me up with any questions you may have.
Thanks!
