PCB rear panel mount width dimension?

Post by rarecomponent » Sun Jul 28, 2013 2:14 pm

Moog Modular modules.....does anyone have the width dimension of the ] shaped panel which holds the PCB in place at the back of the front control panel? I mean the large one that wraps around the PCB. My guess is either 45 or
50mm ?

I get about 1.885 inches or 47.879 millimeters. About 6" deep and 7 5/8" high, and .064" thick metal. The small mounting holes on the front panel are 1 1/2" apart. I could use a pair of those "C" frames myself.

Thanks CZ.... Your info as usual is very comprehensive and is much appreciated. I will be able to fabricate the "C" panels no probs if your interested. But the slot in the back where the PCB terminals pop thru is quite a problem without some sort of punch out machine. I've omitted this and use mini din connectors.

I have C-frames if anyone is interested. I had them made up a few years ago by a local metalshop from an original mechanical drawing. They are black anodized.
