Turning volume changes osc pitch on SubPhatty presets.

Post by starkaudio » Wed Jul 17, 2013 10:03 am

Here's some weird behavior...or maybe expected and I don't understand why.

I've been using the SubPhatty, saved a few presets I dialed in. No problem. Recalling the presets is fine.

Last night, after calling up one of my own presets, I went to the volume knob (main) to adjust and Osc2's pitch started dropping. When I adjust the volume knob DOWN the pitch would drop a few semitones. When I turn the volume UP, nothing changes, but when I then turn it down again the pitch drops further...eventually settling to whatever OSC1 is doing.

I have no usb or midi connections at this time. Anyone ever encounter this?

This is strange. If you have nothing in the MIDI or USB connectors, then I would guess your SubPhatty needs professional help.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

Tried to reproduce it last night, everything works fine. Maybe it's thermal. I'll leave it on overnight and see if I can reproduce.
