Sub Phatty additional hidden parameters issue

Post by Bjornw » Wed May 15, 2013 12:31 pm

In activate panel-mode. When turning power off for a long time it seems some hidden parameters go back to original values. I.E. filter envelope trigger mode. I want it to retrigger when playing legato. If I have to do these settings every time I start and use panel mode I don´t get that fast hands on, play and tweak but have to go through a bunch of hidden settings and then start playing. Anyone else had this problem?

I noticed that active-panel mode often adopts hidden parameters from the previously selected preset (at least it seemed that way to me).
Also BTW, the saved mod wheel position isn't always applied when I load a preset (despite having set that behaviour in the global settings).

Yes, I can recreate this by selecting three different patches in a different sequence. one patch will be with modwheel amount stored and the very same patch will be without if the other preset is selected before this one.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

This happens to me too. Taking my Subby out on the road tomorrow for a first short little tour but thinking using presets for live performance is gonna be hairy until this is resolved.

Hello all... some of these problems are definitely resolved in the current (beta) firmware, v1.2.1
(available here.)

If you are using the latest firmware and are still experiencing any of the above problems, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

Amos

This one (at least) isn't fixed in the 1.2.1:
Me: "the saved mod wheel position isn't always applied when I load a preset (despite having set that behaviour in the global settings)."

confirmed here... bummer ~ similar to the Taurus MOD Wheel issues ??? :(

I'm wondering if some other "Global" parameters aren't saved... ~ particularly VOLUME - which seems especially counterintuitive, defaulting to the preset volume

All right, let's try this one. I found a place where I might not have been updating the mod wheel amount correctly under some circumstances... thanks for checking it out:

The new firmware 1.2.2 helped!
The mod wheel value is now used according to the global modes.
