I am trying to control the voyager with an analog 4 cv out but my settings arent working right. Anyone have any idea why?
Here are my settings
Type = Pitch V/oct
Middle C = 3.00v
V/OCT = 1.00v
Voyager pitch cv not scaling correctly.

Re: Voyager pitch cv not scaling correctly.
Shouldn't you set your A4 V/OCT to 0.93V or whatever the Voyager expects from the A4?n2design wrote:I am trying to control the voyager with an analog 4 cv out but my settings arent working right. Anyone have any idea why?

.93 doesn't work well either. Note is not pitched and each octave isn't 12semitones.

I didn't mean literally set the value to 0.93V. What I meant to say was you might have to use your ear to determine the proper setting. It could be 0.94V. Or 0.92V. Or 0.9378V.n2design wrote:.93 doesn't work well either. Note is not pitched and each octave isn't 12semitones.

Re: Voyager pitch cv not scaling correctly.
start by setting the first c / 0volt.
when that is tuned well, take c1 and adapt the midi/cv or controller signal so that c1 is tuned.
don't start on c3...

Thanks for the tip!!
Re: Voyager pitch cv not scaling correctly.
The Voyager output CV without CP-251 is 0.93V/oct.
The Voyager CV input is 1V/oct.
The Voyager CV input is 1V/oct.

That's strange, Why did they make them different?
btw, turns out the a4 scaled correctly via cv @ 1.02v

Re: Voyager pitch cv not scaling correctly.
Looks like a CP-251 is a "must-have" if I ever want to play an external oscillator (eg. Make Noise DPO, Malekko Anti-Oscillator, etc.) in-tune from the Voyager keyboard.MC wrote:The Voyager output CV without CP-251 is 0.93V/oct.

Congrats n2design on solving your issue
