My Slim Phatty has crashed

Post by svukotic » Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:08 am

Hi
I bought a used Slim Phatty and everything is working great, however when I connect to LOGIC PRO via USB and started to change presets created something like a loop and the display was written erised memory or RAM mostly after I left without electricity when I again turned SlimPhatty got only white screen and Moog is blocked and everything is blocked and when turning the knobs nothing happens.
Moog sound comes from that goes from very high frequency and downhill all the way right up to the low 40 Hz or lower, and after that there is no longer any sound.
Everything is repeated every time i turn on sinth.
When you connect it to the MacBook via USB macbook sees that it is connected.
Please help me to solve this problem, whether perhaps I need to buy a USB Debug Adapter from Silicon Labs and wipe the Phatty processor, whether it be for me to help you recover Phatty in order

Thanks for the response
S.

Definitely sounds like a midi feedback loop nerfed it. Have you tried a factory reset yet? I did that on mine for a similar issue and that fixed it. You might need to try a couple times if the initial attempt for reset fails, but it's a lot cheaper than getting a debugger.

page 45 explains how it's done. If the display is not displaying anything, you'll need to count clicks to navigate the menus (I have the LP, so I can't tell you how many).

Moog tech support is very friendly. I'm sure if you call or email them they will help you get everything working as quickly as possible.

Someone who has the SLIM Phatty needs to tell you this. The LITTLE Phatty might have a different menu.
