Quick Tip

Post by Gamaliel » Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:13 am

Since it looks like the guitars are starting to be shipped to us mere mortals here's a quick tip.Never unpack the guitar from it's shipping box without letting the guitar coming to room temp. This will keep the finish from cracking. It'll take about 4 to 6 hours depending on where you live.I know it's a hard rule to follow but when you have a guitar with beautiful finishes like the Vo,you don't want spiderweb cracks in the finish.
You can never have too many musical instruments.

I wasn't aware that could happen. Thanks! Even though I didn't buy one, still useful information.

This tip is also valid for keyboards, circuit boards, effects etc.Anything that you get shipped to you should rest before opening. If yer buying from the local store, remember it's in the back or the basement or in a close by warehouse, let it get to room temp.
