Latency on the first note when auto tuning is on

I noticed that there is a very small latency each time I begin to play by pressing a key when the auto tuning is on. This is only the first note wich has this small delay because during the play, everything works fine. After the play if I wait a few moments, this latency appears again on the first note and so on...

When auto tuning is off, no latence at the beginning, when I play the first note the reaction is perfectly normal.

Is this normal or an issue ?

Very strange behaviour nevertheless...

There is a reason behind this, something to do with the fact that when the LP is autotuning it produces some sort of calibration pitch to which it tunes to. So when the key is pressed down after a while it takes a brief moment to switch off this tone, and revert to playing as per usual so you don't get an unpleasant sound.

Something along those lines anyway.

Not a bug. Read through this thread, and pay special attention to the explanation by Amos:
