replacement keys/keyboard upgrade?

Post by seank » Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:12 pm

is there any way to get a kick ass looking inverted keyboard? or even upgrade the little phatty keyboard to the keys that are used on the voyager? or both!?! that would be the sexiest mod ever.

I wish. The keys and the mod wheel cover are the only things that i don't like on my Red Back version. The keys are thin, squeaky, and cheap feeling. I like the ones on my Mopho Keys better...

You should be able to get a FATAR 37 key keyed and interface it easily enough. I'm not sure what type of encoding scheme is used on the Little Phatty but I'm sure with some work you could make it work.

I put one into my Sequential Circuits Pro-One. The originals had a good J-wire PR keyed but mine was a high serial number and had the membrane type which was garbage. Maybe ask Moog tech support for the pinouts and see what you can work out.
