Rekon Audio VST

Is there going to be an update for the FL Studio, so you can use all features of the VST?

I hope it gets updated soon!

Thanks!

I found a bug...

The LFO Sync option for MIDI Clk does no work from the VST.

The Internal option does work.

I also found out that if you save your project, close it and open it again, the VST doesn't retain all the settings you saved.

I really hope that there is a new update for it so some of the main FL Studio issues are corrected. Right now, it is worthless to use the VST within FL Studio.

Hey Subtronik,

Thanks for the tip! but the whole point of this VST is to be able to retrieve the patch from the synth. I can make a controller myself using standard CC but the get patch thing is kinda difficult.

:)

Yeah I'm interested in a 'get patch' function for the Voyager, so I'm with you there.

Sadly it is in need of an update for use with Cubase 5 as the following can occur.
Setting up is as per the instructions, set up a vst channel with the LP vst editor then set up a midi channel to handle the LP vst and the LP itself then set up an additional channel for allowing your midi controller to send messages to your LP. Highlight the speaker icons on both midi tracks and then you should be able to hear your LP and edit it . However clicking on the Get Patch button will cause the sound to die on both the vst and your LP.
Furthmore for some reason on Windows Vista 32 SP1 I have noted that the Asio is messed about by the installation of this vst. But not on the first run. I get an issue whereby my ASIO has been changed to a differing driver from my norm. So I await the update. However the feature set is great and having everything to edit on one screen is a real plus. Really hope that this gets updated really soon as well as including AU support as it is a great step forward for the Little Phatty.

OK UPDATE
Since being given a few well placed pointers from Amos it seems that contrary to my earlier observation that this editor does indeed work with Cubase 5. The confusion partly lies with Rekon's setup instructions and also with an issue to do with the Blank Patches which are set as the default editor library. The blank patches use an absolute midi zero position as start off point so that toggeling through these means you can set your LP to zero so you hear nothing from the editor or your LP. Loading either one of the factory sound banks into the editor (Stage, Stage II, Tribute fxb) will rectify this error. I believe that this issue will be corrected in the next update. So if you are using Cubase 5 and was interested in getting this editor do go ahead. It's great fun to use.

Hi, I don't think FL Studio is on the list of supported DAWs... you should email me with more detailed info about exactly what doesn't work in FL Studio, and I'll try to determine if it can be fixed on our end.

Thanks!

Amos

Its supported as stated on moogmusic.com
Supported VST Hosts:

PC - Windows - VST 2.4

- Steinberg Cubase SX 1-3, Nuendo 1-2

- Mackie Tracktion 3
- Imageline FL Studio (Fruity Loops) *see issues below
- Energy XT
- Cockos Reaper 3.11
- Presonus Studio-One
- Plogue Bidule
- Tobybears’ MiniHost
- Hermann Sieb’s VST Host

but there are 'issues'

firstly the LFO sync option only accepts internal and doesnt seem to send the midi clock parameter.

Also all of the parameters have to be manually mapped so you can control the vst from the LP.. which are seemingly forgotten when reloading the track at a later date.

get patch would also nice to have.

I have created a dashboard controller for the LPII in flstudio which allows full control of all of the parameters, allows timeline editing of the LPcontrols. (if anyone wants this let me know)

But obviously the patches are tricky to get... unless theres a send all command on LP?
