URGENT HELP PLEASE... LP NO SOUND... GIG TOMORROW... PLEASE!

Post by Johnny_Cradle » Mon May 11, 2009 12:48 pm

EDIT

Hi,

1st I dont think my LP has ever made me as excited as I am today...
I think I'm writing my best noise yet...

BUT

Just after I recorded this one melody line using this one tasty thing that uses S-H and hooked up to Logics' midi Clock using USB the LP decided to... Stay put a.k.a freeze.

So to see if things work I played the keyboard and there's no audio coming out. I turn the knobs and every one of them seem to work and with their respective LED things. Tried Master Mode and when I'm there I can scroll to the right hand side but then it Keyboard Priority then freezes. I can go back to Preset Mode but the Preset look funny like... "07TARUSBASS" and so on... and still no sound. even when I turn the synth Off then On again...

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE...

Make sure you have the output button under the volume knob turned on.

It's anybody's guess, but your next options are ( which you probable have thought of already)

1- The all notes off setting
2- System Utilities : restore factory settings
3- Reload OS through midi.

Sometimes, the obvious need being stated again. Good luck

make sure the arp isn't on and waiting for an external clock source ...

maybe we should have a sticky "things that keep the LP from making noise when you might otherwise expect it it to" thread ...

Thanks aplenty for the input.

Thing is that it would get stuck on Keyboard Priority and go bonkers until I restart so I couldn't do System Restore, but Amos hooked me up with that "CURSOR, ENTER, and OCTAVE" killer combination and everything was all sorted... after I re installed the firmware and reloaded my patches of course... :D
