Dust cover for Little Phatty

Post by 3pm » Tue Apr 21, 2009 2:04 pm

Are there dust covers that are made to fit the Little Phatty? Additionally, what is the best method for cleaning out dust?

This seems to be an ongoing issue that pops up once every five pages of threads or so. http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopi ... 94&start=0

I still need to get one. I (embarrassingly) use an empty trash bag to keep my cats off of my Little Phatty. Even so, I'm sure I'll need to clean under the keys some day. Any tips?

I can tell you I use a shop vac with a corner attachment to get under the keys. Works quite well, even though it sounds like overkill. Make sure you have suction rather than blowing.

Why am I suddenly thinking about spaceballs now?

I use a bedsheet to cover my rig when not in use. I also use one to cover my drums....it helps but its not perfect.

I bought some fabric, cut it to size, washed it in softener (to lose static cling) and throw it over the LP when not in use.

Works fine.

Wow .. it's nice .. sure your wife can make business out of it :)
C'mon moog, we all need the cover with logo, instead of producing too many t-shirt, please spare a little time to do this, it's gonna be a great selling anyway.

I've got myself a dust cover from digitaldeckcovers.com but it's not that great .. don't really like the material and don't really like the sewing works, it doesn't fit really good on my LPII but so far this cover beats the hell out of my old towel :D

Moog is behind the ball on this one. I realize they want us to play the Phattys but eesh..

If your wife would make more, I'm sure we could all throw some money at her.

I want one!
