I'm not sure what happened with the whole postcard idea... not my department. :)

But I can tell you this: Looks like we started shipping CP-251s last Wednesday, and we are shipping them out based on the original purchase date when you bought your Moog gear that qualified you for the free CP-251. So, the offer began in mid-November 2008, I believe; the people who bought their Moog gear in mid-november are getting their CP-251s now. If you know the date you made your purchase, this will give you an idea of exactly where you are in line to receive your CP251.

All the best,

Amos

Dang, I purchased my LP on the 29th of December... Looks like I'll be waiting a while yet!

Meanwhile, have fun everyone else who got theirs!

So when did those who have received their control processors purchase their Moogs? My MF order is dated 12/11/2008 but I think I sent the form out after Xmas.

I bought mine the first day of the offer, I think I sent out the form on the second. I had been sitting on the fence for a while, I promptly fell off the fence when I heard about the offer :-)

thanks Amos,
but ehm.... will the production of the total quantity of give-away cp251's be done now, is nothing holding up production?
i understand the first come, first served principle, but will it take as long as the giveaway-period to do the production/delivery, or will it take less time or longer. i hope i make myself clear, english is not my forte.

gracias.

I'm not Amos, but I 'd say your question isn't answerable. The real question would be a 4 parter: How many CP-251's are in stock, how many can you make in one day, How many are on order (includes rebate), and how many Cp-251's do you average shipping in one day. But then you have to factor in your purchase date.
I too want all these answers, but it's not reasonable to ask. I am as impatient as they come but even I have accepted the golden virtue.
Not being a jerk, just trying to put your mind at ease with some logic.

no that'sok, i know what you mean, that was sort of my point.

to know your turn in line says little if you don't know how fast the line is moving.

i would think the question can be answered though, if you know the numbers to be made/sent and at what pace you are working.

anyway, patience is the keyword here, i guess.

I think that's the spirit behind posting when you get yours with the date you bought your synth, to let other who are waiting know how fast the line is moving.

My sister and I got our CP-251 yesterday and it is different from the one I bought a couple of years ago (the earlier version with red jacks). It has a different finish, the new CPs have a rougher matte finish. But the knobs on the new one feel better, very smooth. My older CP's pots have a gritty feel, the new ones turn much smoother. We ordered our LP from Analogue Haven in late November (2008).

Me too, I put a down payment on the LP at the beginning of December and then paid the rest off at the end of the month, just before the expiry period. So I'm wondering whether it'll go down as I purchased it at the beginning of the month, or the end?

I got my CP-251 this week, thanks Moog! I have yet to play with it, though. :(
I can't wait to break it out!
